Dolphin MIS VERSION IV

If ever there was a reason to feel sorry for the competition, this is it.

For the past 11 years we have been developing the Dolphin Print Estimation & Costing Software Solution to the very exacting requirements of our loyal customers.

With the launch of the new Microsoft Windows Operating System Vista™ imminent, we at Dolphin commenced the development of our Dolphin MIS Version IV mid 2006. This was a decision based on various factors. The promise of the most stable Windows environment to date, growth in adoption of the new broadband availability from IT service providers and much more affordable computer hardware being only three of the factors considered carefully and evaluated.

Our development team is currently right on track with the development of the “New Dolphin MIS Suite” Version IV. The “Dolphin MIS Software Suite” is being further developed to run on “Microsoft Windows XP”, “Microsoft Windows Server 2003” and “Microsoft Windows IIS 6.0” on the Microsoft Empower for ISV program membership. This means that the Dolphin MIS Version IV will be tested and commercially released during or after our membership. By using the latest Microsoft based development platforms, we are ensured that our software will be 100% supported by Microsoft.

Two Brand new software modules are currently being developed as part of the release of the Dolphin MIS Version IV.
The new software modules that will be available exclusively with the Dolphin MIS Version IV:

Dolphin MIS Version IV: Module 6 Dolphin E-Com On-Line Ordering Module

  • The system will be setup by the Printing Company, with the following parameters:
  • The Printing Client will be able to log-in on the system via the internet.
  • The Printing Client will be provided with a unique username & password, as configured & controlled by the Printing Company.
  • Available products specifically tied to the Printing Client, will be listed for the Printing Client.
  • Only previously produced products will be tied to the Printing Client. A Printing Client will not be able to see or order a product that has not been tied to them specifically. The Printing Client will be able to select the product, and specify the quantities as well as the date required, but the system will enforce a minimum delivery period required, setup by the Printing Company.
  • The Printing Client will be able to place the order directly from the system, with an order received notification being sent to the Printing Company’s specified receiving person/s.
  • Automated order fulfillment escalation built into the system, as setup by the Printing Company.
  • The Printing Client will be able to view the status of all orders already placed.
  • Invoice generation can be automated to occur directly upon order, with a delivery note being produced, or on ad-hoc basis, once again configured by the Printing Company, configurable per Printing Client.
  • The Printing Client will also be able to generate a quotation request based on a text driven description with quantities being specified. This request is e-mailed directly to the Printing Company estimator, who will in turn e-mail the quote to the customer. Of course automated quote request fulfillment escalation is built into the system, and is setup by the Printing Company.

We are also developing the Dolphin Customer Relationship Management Module for Dolphin MIS Version IV.

Some new features exclusively available in the Dolphin MIS Version IV: 

Estimation Module.

The Estimation module is further enhanced to deliver the amongst others the following new features:

  • User configurable formulas.
  • Customize any part of the system with formulas to setup your business exactly.
  • New state of the art client-server database engine.
    • No more data corruptions.
    • More stable Session control.
    • Automated Backups
    • Disaster Recovery Strategy & Capabilities.

  • New customizable user interface.
    • Developed with the latest Microsoft Developer Studio.
    • Users can modify the Graphical User Interface to suit their personal taste.
    • Each user can determine which columns to show, hide or change size to suit them.

Our primary focus will of course remain to continually provide all of our customers from the small to the medium, government and corporate printing companies, with support on their Dolphin MIS, no matter which version they are using.

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (Large enterprise systems)
  • Microsoft Windows IIS 6.0 (Online system)
